Thai Marinated Steak
|Mild chili pepper||1 Medium, seeded and finely chopped|
|Finely chopped scallions||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Green Onions)|
|Finely chopped cilantro/Flat leaf parsley||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Chinese Parsley)|
|Reduced sodium soy sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Freshly squeezed lime juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), finely chopped|
|Boneless sirloin steak/Boneless top round steak||1 Pound|
1. In small mixing bowl combine all ingredients except steak and garnish and mix well.
2. In glass or stainless-steel mixing bowl arrange steak; add pepper mixture and turn to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or at least 1 hour.
3. Preheat broiler. Transfer steak to rack in broiling pan. reserving marinade. Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat source, basting with marinade mixture until medium-rare, 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until done to taste.
4. Thinly slice steak diagonally across the grain and arrange on plate; garnish each portion with a lime slice and cilantro sprig.
