Tarte Au Riz
|Hard butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Table cream||4 Tablespoon|
|Strawberry jam||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (Thick Ones)|
|Soft butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Baking powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground rice||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
Cut butter into the flour with two knives, then stir in enough cream to form a soft dough.
Roll out on a floured board to fit a deep 9 inch pie plate.
Spread the bottom with a thick layer of strawberry jam.
Cream the 1/2 cup soft butter and sugar together, then add the egg and vanilla.
Stir in the dry ingredients mixed together.
Spread over the jam.
Bake at 375F for 35 to 40 minutes or until shell is golden in color.
Cool before serving.
