Pecan Tart

My children wouldn’t mind if I serve the Pecan Tart everyday!! This tasty dessert is one of my favorites too. Try this delicious Pecan Tart for yourself.
For pastry
  Shelled pecans 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter 150 Gram
  Castor sugar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Plain flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
For filling
  Butter 175 Gram
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Honey 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), warmed
  Eggs 6
  Shelled pecans 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
For decoration
  Dark chocolate 30 Gram

Grind the pecans for the pastry in a nut grinder, or process to a fine meal in a food processor (being careful not to over-process them to a paste). Cream butter and sugar; beat in ground pecans and flour. Beat egg and stir in with a knife to make soft dough. Do not use all the egg unless necessary. Gather the dough into a ball with your fingertips, wrap in plastic film and chill for 20 minutes. Roll out to line a 28-30cm shallow, fluted flan tin, and place in the refrigerator while making the filling. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, and beat in warmed honey and eggs alternately. Spread the filling evenly in the pastry case and scatter the pecans over. Place in a preheated hot oven, 200C (400F) and bake for 5 minutes, then turn down to moderately hot, 190C (375F) and continue baking 15 minutes or until the filling is set (protect the pastry sides of the tart with strips of aluminium foil if they are getting too brown). Remove from the oven and cool the tart. To decorate the tart, melt chocolate in a small bowl over hot water (off the heat). Dip a fork into the chocolate and use it to drizzle fine ribbons of chocolate, in a zigzag pattern, over the tart. Allow to set, and serve the tart at room temperature. Serves 12-14.
