Cherry And Walnut Tart

Cherry walnut tart is a delectable dessert which I often prepare on holidays. Nutty and fruity the walnut cherry tart is made with a base of butter and flour. An egg free recipe this walnut cherry tart is filled with chopped apples, walnuts, honey and topped with glaced cherries and baked.
  Plain flour 120 Gram
  Butter 60 Gram
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Water 7 Teaspoon
  Apples 250 Gram, peeled, cored and chopped
  Cinnamon powder 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 30 Gram
  Honey 2 Tablespoon
  Walnuts 50 Gram, chopped
  Glace cherries 50 Gram (Half Tin)

Sieve togather the flour and salt.
Rub in the butter and mix gently to resemble bread crumbs.
Lift the mixture up lightly and quickly to incorporate as much air as possible.
Sprinkle cold water, evenly over the mixture and bind together, using a palette knife.
Then knead into a smooth dough.
RoII out the pastry on a lightly floured surface into 1/2 inch thickness, rolling in one direction only, without pressing or stretching the dough.
Grease and dust a tart tray with flour and line with the pastry.
Pre heat the oven on 'convection' at 230°C.
Place the tart tray, on the high rack, and bake at 230°C for 20:00 minutes.
For the filling Place the apples, in a 1 litre dish, sprinkle with a little water, cinnamon powder and sugar.
Microwave at 100% power for 5:00 minutes.
Allow to cool slightly, then fill in the pastry.
Mix in the walnuts and honey and finally top with the glaced cherries.
Pre heat the oven on 'convection' at 190°C.
Place the tart, on the high rack, and bake at 190°C for 20:00 minutes.
