Cream Cheese And Apple Tart
|Prepared short crust pastry||1|
|Eating apples||1 Pound|
|Soft light brown sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Orange marmalade||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground allspice||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Whipped cream cheese||1⁄4 Pound|
|Heavy cream||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
Line an 8-inch tart pan with the pastry, and bake blind at 400Â°F for 25 minutes.
Cool and put on to a serving dish.
Pare and core the apples.
Chop coarsely .
Put into a pan with the sugar, marmalade and spice, and simmer gently until the apples are soft.
Cool for 10 minutes, then return to the processor bowl and mix until smooth .
Leave until completely cool.
Spread the tart shell with the cream cheese and place the apple puree on top.
Whip the cream to soft peaks and spoon on top of the apples.
Chill for 1 hour before serving
