Tart Sweet Cherry Cream
|Cherry flavor gelatin||9 Ounce (3 packages)|
|Hot water||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Ice water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Undiluted evaporated milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Canned pitted dark cherries||30 Ounce (1 can)|
|Commercial sour cream||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
1. Dissolve gelatin in hot water; stir in ice water, evaporated milk, and all but a few cherries. Do not worry if mixture curdles. Refrigerate until just set, stirring occasionally.
2. Spoon into serving bowl, interspersing and topping with sour cream, in dollops. Refrigerate again until firmly set.
3. Just before serving, top with remaining cherries.
