Ingredients
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cold butter
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1/4 cup cold water
4 cups pitted and quartered

1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Directions

1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
2. To prepare the crust, blend flour and salt in a food processor. Cut in butter and shortening until the mixture is crumbly. Add water and mix just until a ball of dough forms.
