Frosted Taffy Stars

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1 Cup (16 tbs) (2 Sticks)
  Light molasses 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vanilla 2 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  10x confectioners' powdered sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 1 Tablespoon
  Silver candies 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

1. Beat butter or margarine with molasses in medium-size bowl with electric mixer at medium speed; stir in 1 teaspoon of the vanilla. Gradually blend In flour. Chill overnight.
2. Roll out, a small amount at a time, to 1/4 ihch thickness on lightly floured pastry cloth or board. Cut out with 2-inch cutter. Place on cookie sheets.
3. Bake in slow oven (325°) 15 minutes, or until firm. Remove from cookie'sheets with spatula; cool completely on wire racks.
4. Blend 10X sugar, water, and remaining 1 teaspoon vanilla until smooth in small bowl. Frost cookies; decorate centers with silver candies. Store in tin between wax paper.
