  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
  Ground chuck/Ground round 1 Pound
  Tomato 1 Large, peeled and chopped
  Oregano leaf 1 Teaspoon, crumbled
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Vegetable oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Frying)
  Frozen tortillas 9 Ounce, frozen (1 Package)
  Head of lettuce 1 Small, shredded
  Cheddar cheese 8 Ounce, shredded (2 Cup)
  Tomatoes 3 Medium, peeled and chopped
  Bottled hot pepper sauce To Taste

1. Make beef filling: Saute onion and garlic in the 2 tablespoons oil until soft in a large skillet, about 5 minutes; add ground beef; cook until brown. Add tomato, oregano, salt and pepper; cook, stirring frequently, 10 minutes, or until thick and heated thoroughly.
2. Make fried tacos: Heat about 1 inch of oil in a large skillet to 370° on a deep-fat thermometer. Drop tortillas into oil, 1 at a time. Using 2 forks, fold tortilla into a Ushape. Hold tortilla folded and fry it until it keeps its shape and is lightly browned and crisp, about 3 minutes. Drain on paper toweling.
3. Stuff 3 tablespoons beef filling, lettuce, cheese and tomatoes into each taco. Garnish with onion rings, if you wish. Pass bottled hot pepper sauce.
