Authentic Mexican Tacos

Ingredients
  Lean ground beef 1 Pound
  Finely minced green pepper 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), pressed / finely chopped
  Tomato paste 1 Tablespoon
  Chili powder 2 Teaspoon
  Ground thyme 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Taco shells 12
  Shredded cheddar cheese 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Finely chopped onion 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shredded lettuce 3 Cup (48 tbs)
Directions

1. Combine ground beef and green pepper in a 1 1/2 quart glass casserole. Cover. Microwave at Time Cook (power level 10) for 5 minutes, stirring once. Stir in tomato paste and seasonings. Cover. Microwave at Time Cook (power level 10) for 5 to 7 minutes, or until mixture bubbles, stirring once. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes.
2. Divide beef mixture between taco shells. Top first with grated cheese, then with tomato, onion, and lettuce.Fold in half.
