Tacos With Meat
|Taco shells/Packaged taco shells||12|
|Ground beef/Bulk pork sausage||1 Pound|
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Chili powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Tomatoes||2 , chopped and drained|
|Shredded sharp cheddar cheese||4 Ounce (1 Cup)|
|Canned taco sauce/Salsa de chile rojo||4 Tablespoon|
Arrange taco shells on a baking sheet lined with paper toweling.
Warm in a 250° oven while preparing meat mixture.
In skillet cook beef or pork, onion, and garlic till meat is brown and onion is tender.
Drain off fat.
Season meat mixture with chili powder and salt.
Stuff each of the taco shells with some of the meat mixture, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese; pass taco sauce.
