|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Lemon peel||1 Tablespoon, grated|
|Lemon juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Combine sugar, water, and lemon peel in a saucepan.
Set over low heat and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Cover, bring to boiling, and boil 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
Set aside to cool.
Store covered in refrigerator.
Use to sweeten iced tea.
