Maple Syrup Pudding Or Cake
|Maple syrup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
Heat syrup to boiling point and pour into buttered pan.
Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add egg, mix well.
Mix and sift dry ingredients; add to egg mixture, alternating with milk.
Pour batter over hot syrup and bake for 25 minutes in 350Â°F oven.
Remove from oven and turn upside down, syrup side up.
You may sprinkle with nuts and whipped cream.
