Ingredients
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Citric acid 1 Teaspoon
  Lemon zest 1 Tablespoon (Of 1 Lemon)
Directions

Put all ingredients in a pot and bring to boil.
Simmer 5 minutes, strain and pour into sterile bottles, seal and store in a cool place.
Use this syrup to flavour long drinks and punches.
To make zest, peel off thin outer layer of lemon skin with a sharp potato peeler.
For low-calorie drinks, replace all or part of the sugar with an artificial sweetener.
Most sweeteners give the equivalent amount needed to replace one teaspoon of sugar.
