Carob Syrup

Ingredients
  Carob 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Honey 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Cornstarch 1 Teaspoon
  Hot water 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

In a small saucepan, combine carob, honey, salt and cornstarch.
Add water and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Boil slowly for 5 minutes, remove from heat, cool and add vanilla.
Serve hot or cold as a sauce with ice cream or cake or add 2 teaspoons to 1 cup milk for a carob drink.
