Bitter Sweet Chocolate Syrup
|Unsweetened chocolate||1⁄2 Pound|
|Sugar||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Water||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Egg yolks||2 , beaten|
Melt chocolate over not water, oiena in sugar ana salt, ana graaually add the water, stirring constantly.
Place over low heat for 5 minutes; then gradually stir the hot mixture into the beaten egg yolks.
Cool and stir in vanilla.
For hot or iced chocolate, add 3 to 4 teaspoons to each glass of hot or chilled milk.
The syrup may also be used as a sauce for custard, puddings or ice cream.
Store it in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator.
