Lemonade Syrup

  Sugar 5 Cup (80 tbs)
  Lemon 4 , juiced
  Grated lemon rind 4
  Tartaric acid 1⁄2 Ounce
  Citric acid 1 Ounce
  Epsom salts 1 Tablespoon
  Water 1 3⁄4 Pint

Put together sugar, water, lemon juice and rind and just bring to boil.
Remove from stove and add tartaric, citric acid and epsom salts.
Let stand until cool.
Put through strainer to remove grated rind before bottling.
About 1 dessertspoon to 1 glass of water makes a very refreshing drink.
This syrup may also be used as a mixer.

Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) is a rather strong laxative!
