Minted Sundae Soda

Ingredients
  Mint apple jelly 10 Ounce (1 Jar)
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vanilla ice cream 1 Quart
  Lime sherbet 1 Pint
  Lemon-lime carbonated beverage 24 Ounce (2 Bottles, 12 Ounce Each, 3 Cups)
Directions

In saucepan, combine mint-apple jelly and the water.
Cook and stir over low heat till jelly melts.
Cool to room temperature; then chill.
Chill 6 to 8 large glasses; into each, pour 2 to 3 tablespoons mint jelly syrup.
Add a spoonful of vanilla ice cream to each; stir till melted.
Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, then a scoop of lime sherbet, and top with another scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Fill with lemon-lime carbonated beverage, pouring carefully down side of glass.
Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint or a thin slice of lime.
