Hot Apple Sundaes
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Orange juice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cinnamon||1⁄2 Teaspoon, ground|
|Apples||10 Cup (160 tbs), sliced (peeled)|
|Vanilla ice cream||1⁄2 Quart|
In a saucepan over medium heat, bring sugar, juices and cinnamon to a boil.
Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
Add apples and return to a boil.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until the apples are tender.
Serve warm over ice cream.
Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
