Crispy Sugar Cookies

Crisp Sugar Cookies! I served these yummy cookies just last weekend for my childs birthday! Everyone loved it. Treat yourself to the Crisp Sugar Cookies too!
Ingredients
  All purpose flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Cream of tartar 2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butter 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2
Directions

Sift flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt together; set aside.
Cream butter with extract; add sugar gradually, beating until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
Add dry ingredients in fourths, mixing until blended after each addition.
Chill dough in refrigerator 1 hour.
Shape small balls by dropping small amounts of dough from a teaspoon 2 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
For glaze (this glaze is very important) dip bottom of a glass in water; then dip in sugar.
Flatten each ball with sugar-coated glass.Bake at 375°F 10 minutes.
