|Sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Molasses||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Cake flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
Cream shortening with sugar.
Add egg, molasses and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients together and add.
Drop dough from a 1/4 teaspoon onto a well greased cookie sheet.
Space cookies about 2 inches apart.
If desired, cookies may be flattened with a glass covered by a damp cloth.
Bake in moderate oven (350Â°F.) 12 minutes.
Makes 75 to 80 cookies 1 1/2 inch diameter.
