Brown Sugar Meringue
|Packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), finley chopped|
Just before cake is removed from oven, beat egg whites until foamy.
Gradually beat sugar and lemon juice into egg whites, beating until stiff.
Carefully spread on hot 13x9-inch cake.
Sprinkle with nuts.
Bake in 400Â° oven 8 to 10 minutes
