Minted Leaves And Stems
|Small curd creamed cottage cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sifted confectioners' sugar||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Green food color||3 Drop|
|Peppermint extract||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Granulated sugar||1 Tablespoon|
In mixing bowl, beat cottage cheese, and con-fectioners' sugar (enough to make a stiff workable mixture).
Tint a delicate shade of green and flavor with peppermint extract.
Knead stiff mixture several turns.
Sprinkle board generously with granulated sugar.
Cover mixture with a piece of waxed paper and roll about 1/2 inch thick.
Remove paper, turn mixture over and roll to 1/4 inch thick.
With small knife, cut leaves and make indentations to resemble veins.
Roll small balls of mixture to make stems.
