|Dried mixed fruit||22 Ounce (2 Packages, 11 Ounce Each)|
|Dried apples||1⁄4 Pound|
|Light raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Hot water||6 Cup (96 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1. Place all dried fruits in 5-quart Dutch oven or saucepan. Add hot water to cover fruit. Refrigerate, covered, several hours or overnight.
2. Next day, bring to boiling; simmer, covered, 1/2 hour, until soft, not mushy. Add sugar the last 5 minutes.
3. Turn into serving dish; refrigerate, covered, until well chilled—several hours or overnight.
