Rugks

Ingredients
  Flour 2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Maple/Brown sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Baking powder 4 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Egg 1
  Water 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Shortening 2 Tablespoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.

MAKING
2. Sieve in flour along with salt, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar. Prepare a mixture of melted shortening and beaten egg with water and mix in the flour mixture well.
3. Transfer to a floured board, make into small pieces and using floured hands make into rolls.
4. Take a greased pan, arrange the rolls one near the another. Keep aside to stand for 10 to 15 minutes, brush with milk, top with brown sugar or maple sugar and bake for 20 to 30 minutes.

SERVNG
5. Serve hot.

TIPS
1. For making hot cross buns, using a sharp knife insert deep cross cuts on the roll tops, brush with butter, top with sugar and bake.
