Baked Pears With Cinnamon And Brown Sugar

Ingredients
  Ripe pears 4
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Light muscovado sugar 4 Tablespoon
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Low fat spread 2 Ounce (60 Gram)
  Finely grated lemon rind 2 Tablespoon, finely grated (To Decorate)
Directions

GETTING READY
1)Preheat oven to 400 degrees F or 200 degree C or Gas Mark 6.
2)Peel and deseed the pears. Slice them lengthwise into 2 halves and brush with lemon juice to avoid getting decolorised.

MAKING
3)In a non-stick roasting pan, place the pears with cut surface down.
4)In a small saucepan, take sugar, low fat spread, cinnamon and slowly heat. Stir until sugar melts over low heat. Ensure that the mixture does not dry out due to excess loss of moisture.
5)Transfer mixture onto pears.
6)Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes until pears are soft and golden in color. Keep adding sugar mixture onto pears all the while they are being baked.

SERVING
7)Onto warm dessert plates transfer heated steaming custard. Place 2 pear halves on the custard and garnish with grated lemon rind before serving.
