Brown Sugar Drops
|Packed light brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dark corn syrup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ground ginger||1 Teaspoon|
Preheat oven to 375° F.
In a large saucepan, place brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup.
Cook and stir mixture over low heat until butter melts; remove from heat.
Stir in flour, ginger, and salt until ingredients are well blended.
Drop batter by rounded tea-spoonfuls about 4 inches apart onto a greased and floured cookie sheet.
Bake for 5 minutes or until cookies are set.
Cool 2 minutes; remove with a spatula.
Makes 2 dozen.
