Brown Sugar Fudge
|Brown sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs) (packed)|
|Granulated sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Corn syrup||2 Tablespoon|
|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Coconut/Nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Measure first 6 ingredients into heavy saucepan.
Stir often over medium heat until boiling.
Boil without stirring until it reaches soft ball stage on candy thermometer, 235°F (113°C), or until a small spoonful forms a soft ball in cold water.
Remove from heat.
Cool until you can almost hold your hand against the bottom of saucepan.
Beat until it loses its glossy appearance and begins to thicken.
Stir in coconut or nuts.
Pour into greased 8 x 8 inch (20 x 20 cm) pan.
Cool and cut into squares.
