Old-Fashioned Sugar Cookies
|Shortening||1 Cup (16 tbs) (part butter)|
|All purpose flour||2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs)|
|Cream of tartar||2 Teaspoon|
|Cinnamon||2 Teaspoon, ground|
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, and beat until light and fluffy.
Combine flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt and add to creamed mixture.
Chill at least 1 hour in refrigerator.
Roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
Cut in desired shapes.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350 ° for about 10 to 12 minutes.
