|Raisins||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|Dates||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|Figs||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|Nut meats||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , slightly beaten|
|Lemon juice||3 Tablespoon|
|Grated lemon rind||1 Tablespoon|
|Plain pastry||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1.Start by preheating the oven to 425F degrees
2.Combine first 7 ingredients and cook slowly for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
3.Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and rind.
5.Roll pastry to 1/8 inch thickness and cut into 3 inch squares.
6.Place 2 teaspoons of filling on each square, moisten edges and fold over, making 3 cornered tart.
7.Pinch edges together, make 3 short slits in top.
8.Bake in hot oven for 20 minutes.
9.Serve with whipped cream on top
