English Mincemeat

This recipe for english mincemeat is prepared with kidney suet along with apples, currants and raisins. Mixed along with mixed fruit peels and spices like nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon and brownsugar , the enlish mincemeat can be stored in the fridge in a jar.
Ingredients
  Currants 1 Pound, dried
  Seedless raisins 1 Pound
  Apples 3 Large, chopped
  Peel 1 Pound (Mixed Fruit Peel)
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Kidney suet 1 Pound, chopped
  Lemon 1 , juiced and peel grated
  Brown sugar 1 Pound
  Ground nutmeg To Taste
  Allspice To Taste
  Cinnamon To Taste
Directions

Wash currants and raisins.
Chop apples without removing skins.
Combine all ingredients.
Mix thoroughly.
Turn into a large covered jar.
Store in refrigerator.
