Yorkshire Pudding Popovers
|Flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Combine the flour, milk, eggs and salt in a bowl and whisk until smooth.
Let stand, covered, for 2 to 3 hours, whisking occasionally.
Place 1 teaspoon shortening in each of 6 ovenproof custard cups.
Place the custard cups in a baking dish.
Heat in a 450 degree oven until shortening is almost smoking; remove from oven.
Pour the batter into the cups.
Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until puffed and golden.
