English Fruit Cake
|Oatmeal||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Raw)|
|Cracked wheat||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Raw)|
|Unsweetened grape juice||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Seedless raisins||2 Pound, finely chopped|
|Seeded raisins||2 Pound, finely chopped|
|Dates||2 Pound, pitted and finely chopped|
|Walnuts||2 Pound, coarsely chopped|
|Oranges||3 , rind grated|
|Lemons||3 , rind grated|
|Honey||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cinnamon||1 Tablespoon, ground|
|Nutmeg||1 Tablespoon, ground|
|Allspice||1 Tablespoon, ground|
|Cloves||1⁄2 Teaspoon, ground|
Mix together oatmeal, wheat and grape juice.
Let stand overnight.
Add rest of ingredients.
Blend thoroughly by hand.
Line loaf pans with heavy waxed paper, brush with oil.
Pack mixture down, a little at a time.
Put heavy weight on top and let stand at least 24 hours.
Slice thin to serve.
