Traditional English Rose Cocktail

Gin, apricot brandy and dry vermouth combine in this rosy tipple. English or not, this could become a perennial favorite.
Ingredients
  Powdered sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Lemon slice 1 Medium
  Ice cubes 10 Medium
  Gin 1 1⁄2 Ounce
  Apricot brandy 3⁄4 Ounce
  Dry vermouth 3⁄4 Ounce
  Grenadine 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Lemon juice 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cherry 1 Medium, for garnish (Cognac soaked cherry)
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Rim the cocktail glass with lime and then coat with sugar.

MAKING
2. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add gin, aprico brandy, dry vermouth, grenadine and lemon juice and shake well.
3. Strain into the sugar rimmed cocktail glass.

SERVING
4. Garnish with a cherry (preferably brandy-marinated).
