  Brown sugar 1 Pound
  Eggs 10 , well beaten
  Plumped raisins 1 Pound
  Glazed pineapple 1⁄2 Pound
  Glazed cherries 1⁄2 Pound
  Seeded raisins 1 Pound
  Citron 1⁄2 Pound, diced
  Orange peel 1⁄2 Pound
  Dates 1⁄2 Pound, pitted and sliced
  Fruitcake mix 1⁄2 Pound
  Lemon 1 , grated rind
  Pecans 1⁄2 Pound
  Brandy 1 Pint
  Honey 1 Cup (16 tbs), strained
  Dark molasses 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cider 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Flour 1 Pound
  Double acting baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Mace 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Gradually cream butter with sugar.
Add well-beaten eggs.
Add fruit and rest of ingredients.
Sift flour; measure.
Add baking powder and spices.
Sift three times.
Add flour mixture gradually.
Line 4 2 1/2-pound-size cake tins with greased waxed paper.
Bake in 3000 oven for 3 hours.
