New England Maple Apple Pie

Ingredients
  Unbaked pastry shell 1 (9 Inch)
  Apples 2 Pound, thinly sliced
  Unsifted flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Maple syrup 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Margarine/Butter melted 2 Tablespoon
  Firmly packed light brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Margarine/Butter 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Chopped nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Place rack in lowest position in oven; preheat oven to 400°F In large bowl, combine apples and 2 tablespoons flour.
Combine syrup and melted margarine.
Pour over apples; mix well.
Turn into pastry shell.
In medium bowl, combine remaining 1/2 cup flour, sugar and cinnamon; cut in cold margarine until crumbly.
Add nuts; sprinkle over apples.
Bake 10 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 375°F; bake 35 minutes longer or until golden brown.
Cool slightly.
