Old Fashioned Stuffing
|Diced celery||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Dry bread cubes||4 Quart|
|Poultry seasoning||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Hot broth/Water||2 Tablespoon (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
1. Cook celery and onion in hot butter in a skillet over medium heat until onion is transparent but not browned, stirring occasionally.
2. Turn into a mixing bowl and combine with bread cubes, salt, poultry seasoning, sage, and pepper. Toss lightly.
3. If a moist dressing is preferred, add the desired amount of hot broth or water.
4. Makes enough stuffing for a 14- to 18-pound turkey.
