Fancy Holiday Stuffing
|Sausage||24 Ounce (2 packages (12 ounces each) All-Natural Roll Sausage)|
|Unsalted butter||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (1 1/2 Sticks)|
|Onions||3 Medium, coarsely chopped|
|Chopped celery with leaves||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Including Tops)|
|Day old white bread loaf||3⁄4 Pound, torn into small pieces (3/4 Of A 1 Pound Loaf With Crusts)|
|Eggs||2 , lightly beaten|
|Frozen chopped spinach||10 Ounce, thawed and squeezed dry (1 Package)|
|Canned whole water chestnuts/1 chopped apple||8 Ounce, drained and coarsely chopped (1Can)|
|Chopped fresh parsley||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Poultry seasoning||4 1⁄2 Teaspoon (1 Tablespoon Plus 1 1/2 Teaspoons)|
|Salt||2 Teaspoon (Adjust Quantity As Per Taste)|
|Freshly ground pepper||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Crumble sausage into large skillet.
Cook and stir sausage over medium-high heat until cooked through (no longer pink but not dry), about 5 to 8 minutes.
Transfer sausage and drippings, if desired (there will be less than 2 tablespoons) to large mixing bowl.
Melt butter in same skillet over medium heat.
Saute onions in butter until tender.
Add celery and continue cooking 2 to 3 minutes.
Add onion mixture to sausage.
Add remaining ingredients, mixing thoroughly but gently.
Use to stuff turkey loosely just before roasting.
Place any remaining stuffing in greased baking dish.
Bake in 325°F oven 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
