Strawberries with Strawberry Cream
|Strawberries||4 Cup (64 tbs), hulled|
|Cointreau/Other orange-flavored liqueur||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Whipping cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Strawberries||3 , halved (optional)|
1 In a bowl, combine the first 3 ingredients.
2 Mix gently.
3 Cover and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
4 Drain well.
5 In a blender, process enough strawberries to make 1/2 cup puree.
6 Set aside.
7 In a bowl, beat the whipping cream until foamy.
8 Gradually add 3 tablespoons sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
9 Gently fold in the strawberry puree.
10 Into 6 individual serving containers, spoon the strawberries.
11 Serve each serving topped with a dollop of the whipped cream mixture and a strawberry half. (optional)
