Elegant Strawberry Cream
|Unflavored gelatin||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Frozen sliced strawberries||16 Ounce, thawed (1 Package)|
|Dairy sour cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Mix the gelatin, sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
Stir in the cream and water.
Set over low heat and stir until sugar and gelatin are dissolved.
Remove from heat and stir in the extract.
Cool slightly, then chill until mixture is slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
Beat gelatin with hand rotary beater until light and fluffy.
Add the strawberries and sour cream and stir lightly until blended.
Turn into a 1-quart fancy mold and chill until firm.
