  1. Check the temperature of the chicken before freezing. It should be cooled completely, if it is warm. For cooling, you can either keep the dish filled with chicken in a large pan of ice-cold water or just keep it in the refrigerator for a while.

  2. Remove moisture, if any, from the freezer bags as presence of moisture will spoil the baked dish. Place the chicken pieces in the bag. It is advisable to keep the pieces you will use at a time in the same bag.

  3. Squeeze out the air, to the maximum possible extent, and the slide the zipper to close.

  4. Paste a sticky note of the bag with points that indicate the contents and date.

  5. Arrange the chicken filled bags in the freezer, preferably the coldest spot so that it turns solidly frozen.

  6. Once solid, transfer the chicken to an area in the freezer, to freeze until required.


 


Handy Tips


  • Make sure that you use this frozen chicken within three months.

  • Chicken, the frozen one, should be thawed for a minimum of eight hours before being re-used.
