Zucchini is a type of summer squash that is extremely versatile and could be eaten raw and cooked suing various techniques that you might like to learn how to preserve Zucchini. This could eaten raw, baked into breads and casseroles, tossed into salads or stir-fry, simply sauté them with a little butter and garlic. Some of the best ways to preserve Zucchini will include freezing, baking, drying, pickling and desiccation.


 


1. Freezing:


This is the best way to store Zucchini and all you need to do is to peel and slice them into thin or thicker slices and store them in zip lock freezer bags and use the slices with or without thawing depending on your cooking needs. This way you can store them for more than a year.


2. Baking Breads:


Baking breads using Zucchni is one of the easiest ways to preserve them during the season for a few days, say a fortnight.


3. Drying:


Zucchni chips are tasty and healthy snacks prepared by drying zucchini into very thin, sprinkling lightly with your favorite flavorings and drying them into a crispy snack, an alternative to crackers for cheese.


4. Pickling:


Canning as pickles is one of the zucchini pickles are great treats to enjoy like cucumber pickles.


5. Dehydration:


Dehydrated Zucchni find their way during off season in soups and casseroles and can be stored in the pantry for months together in an airtight container.
