Beer Stew

Beer stew refers to a wet accompaniment dish made with beer as the base ingredient. Stewing beef is first browned in a skillet in bacon drippings with herb seasonings such as thyme, marjoram, tarragon, and spices like black pepper, onion and garlic. Stew is made with beef broth and beer. Vegetables like potatoes are added and the stew simmered for sometime. Flour dissolved in water is added as a thickening agent to the stew.
