Superquick Lamb And Barley Stew

Ingredients
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Carrots 2 , chopped
  Celery stalks 2 Large, chopped
  Onion 1 , chopped
  Garlic 3 Clove (15 gm), chopped
  Pearl barley 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Rinsed)
  Canned beef broth 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Cooked lamb 3 Cup (48 tbs), cut into 1/2 inch pieces
Directions

Melt butter in heavy Dutch oven over medium high heat.
Add carrots, celery, onion and garlic; saute until beginning to soften, about 8 minutes.
Add barley; stir until coated, about 2 minutes.
Add broth and simmer until barley is ten der, about 45 minutes.
Add lamb and heat through.
