Ingredients
  Beef round steak 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Shortening 1 Tablespoon
  Boiling water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Bay leaf/1/2 tablespoon vegetable bouquet sauce 1
  Onions 12 Small, peeled
  Potatoes 4 Medium, diced
  Sliced carrots 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Sliced apples 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Butter/Beef suet 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Cut steak into strips, roll in flour, and brown in shortening.
Add boiling water and seasonings; simmer 2 hours.
Add vegetables, apples, and butter; simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours longer.
