Dinner Party Stew

Ingredients
  Lean beef 1 Pound, cut into cubes
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Fat 3 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 Medium, sliced
  Tomato juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Meat stock/1.75 cup hot water plus 2 bouillon cubes 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Sour cream 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Canned mushrooms 5 Ounce
Directions

Dredge beef cubes in flour, salt and pepper; brown in fat.
Add onion, tomato juice, meat stock and sugar; bring to boil.
Simmer gently 2 hours.
Blend in sour cream and mushrooms; stir well, bringing to a boil.
Add more salt if necessary.
Serve with rice or noodles.
