Beef Stew is easy to make. All you need is some beef, carrots, potatoes. onions, garlic, beef base, and some tomato paste. You can prepare this stew in under an hour.

Cooking oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
Potatoes | 3 Medium , peeled and cubed | |
Onion | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) , chopped | |
Garlic | 2 Tablespoon , chopped | |
Carrots | 3 Medium , peeled and chopped | |
Tomato paste | 2 Tablespoon | |
Beef base/Bouillon cubes | 2 Tablespoon | |
Paprika | 2 Teaspoon | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Pepper | To Taste | |
Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
Beer | 12 Ounce | |
For thickening the stew | ||
Butter | 3 Tablespoon | |
Flour | 3 Tablespoon |
MAKING
1. In a large pot, add the cooking oil.
2. Drop the beef cubes. On medium high heat, brown the meat pieces for couple of minutes. Pull out the meat and set aside.
3. Add the butter.
4. Throw in the garlic and onions. Sauté those until the onions are transparent and the garlic is cooked.
5. Spoon in the paprika and mix it in.
6. Pour in the beer.
7. Add the browned meat back into the pot.
8. Throw in the potatoes and carrots. Pour water so that the contents of pot are covered.
9. Add the beef base and the tomato paste.
10. Let it simmer for 25-30 minutes.
11. In a bowl, mix together the butter and the flour for thickening the stew.
12. After the stew simmers for 30 minutes, add the butter and flour mixture to thicken the stew.
13. You may add other veggies like corn or peas at this stage.
SERVING
14. Serve in a bowl right away and enjoy.
