Soybean And Sausage Stew
|Bacon strip||2 , chopped|
|Sliced onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Carrots||6 , peeled and sliced|
|Shredded cabbage||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Cooked soybeans||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Minced parsley||1 Tablespoon|
|Water/Vegetable stock||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Smoked sausage||1⁄2 Pound, cut into serving pieces|
|Ground black pepper||1|
Fry bacon in a very large frying pan or Dutch oven until it renders its fat.
Stir in onion and saute until golden.
Add carrots, cabbage, soybeans, parsley, bay leaf, and water and simmer, covered, 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Stir in sausage and simmer, covered, 1 5 more minutes.
Taste and correct seasonings with salt and pepper.
