Spicy Stewed Pork with Eggs (Red Cooked)
|Lean pork shoulder||6 Ounce (180 Gram)|
|Pork belly||2 Ounce (60 Gram)|
|Shallot||1 , chopped|
|Soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Water||1⁄4 Pint (150 Milliliter)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Ounce (1 Gram)|
|Monosodium glutamate||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Wu hsiang||1 Pinch|
|Cooking oil||1 Tablespoon|
Cut pork into 3-cm (1 -in) cubes.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a saucepan and fry the shallot until lightly browned.
Add the pork and fry for 2 minutes, turning the meat.
Pour in the seasoning sauce, cover and cook gently for 1 hour.
Then add the hard-boiled eggs and cook for a further hour.
Adjust the seasoning and serve.
