Zesty Sausage Stew
|Onions||2 , chopped|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), minced|
|Sweet green pepper||1 , chopped|
|Canned tomatoes||28 Ounce (1 Can, 796 Milliliter)|
|Chopped fresh parsley||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dried basil||1 Teaspoon|
|Dried oregano||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Cut sausages into bite-size pieces. In large saucepan, cook over medium-high heat about 10 minutes, turning frequently, until browned on all sides. With slotted spoon, remove sausages, set aside.
Add onions, garlic and green pepper to drippings remaining in saucepan. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until onion is softened.Stir in remaining ingredients, along with sausages.
Cook, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender and sauce has thickened.
